Our lovely little beach (playa blanca) at the end of the day

Best Ceviche of my life

My dad... probably making fun of me

View from an island in Puntarenas

Dinner in Limon followed by dancing in the hottest weather imagineable... but way worth it

Adam with the most giant pig known to humans

My future family and dinner in less than two months

Lengua de Vaca (cow tongue) and some other goodness

Me and my sister at Volcan Poas
What is ceviche? Better than iguana, I'll bet....
ReplyDeleteSince Erin doesn't know what ceviche is, I will have to take her to Aji for ceviche!! And mojitos!! I don't think you can have one without the other! Absolutely love your pics!
ReplyDeleteLove and miss you,
Momacita
Hi Carlita!
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear all the exciting news about your life in Costa Rica with your new family. Your "second family" here in Seattle miss you, but are excited about all the unique opportunities and fun you're having there. We're really enjoying reading your blog and living vicariously.
It sounds like you had an incredible birthday. Definitely one you'll remember for the rest of your life. What amazing life experiences for the memories.
We can't believe you're actually going to eat Iguana - never mind the cow tongue!!! Tyler actually grew up eating lots of cow tongue and says "it's great..........with LOTS of mustard!"
We are heading to the Sacramento area Sunday and will survey there for a week and then it looks like we'll move to the Palo Alto area for the second week. This will be the first two week trip without coming home the weekend in between.
We've had record-breaking heat late in the summer season and it looks like next week will break more records, but of course we won't be here to enjoy it. We'll be taking the heat to California where they're predicting temperatures in the triple digits next week - Ouch!
Enjoy the next two weeks in Nicaragua - can't wait to hear the stories when you return.
Be safe, God bless and we love you,
Uncle"cita" and Auntie"cita" [aka "you know who:)]
Carli!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time in Nicaragua; I know it will be, if anything, a completely new and exciting experience. Enjoy it for all that it is!
Sending prayers your way,
Erin
